Author - Semanti Chakraborty
My Rating - 4/5
I thank the author for the review copy of this amazing book!
This is the second book of the Samrat Yudhishthira trilogy.
The book starts with the famous dice game which is a major turning point in Mahabharata, continues with their life in the forest and ends with the end of their exile period.
The first half of the book is actually sad, following the events that take place during and immediately after the dice game. Yudhishthira keeps having an inner conflict, always blaming himself for whatever happened that day. He also tries going to the exile alone so as to not cause any more trouble but his brothers and wife end up accompanying him.
The second half of the book is amazing. The author highlights the growth of Yudhishthira. He recues and saves his brothers and cousins on different occasions. His inner conflict sees true answers when he answers the questions while saving his brothers.
Overall, it is a good book that shows the growth of his character. The way he handles dharma in difficult situations is noteworthy and this book is recommended to all Mahabharata fans.
