Author - Kevin Missal
My Rating - 4/5
It is always good to know a story from the perspective of a character other than the main one. When we look at Ramayana it is usually told from the perspective of lord Ram. This is one such book written from the point of view of a non-main character.
The author has taken a big step and written about Ravan's son, Meghnad. The book focuses mainly on Meghnad and does not deviate from him. Meenakshi can also be considered as a main part of this novel as the story revolves around her.
It would have been good if the story started from Meghnad's childhood, nevertheless the first chapter does complete justice to his character. The journey Meghnad undergoes as a complete villain to meeting his love and finally understanding that what he's been doing is meaningless and finally decides to go on the right path is extraordinary. Overall, it's a smooth read and the book can be read in one sitting.
